Candy Cane White Hot Chocolate

It truly feels like Christmas because we got snow last night! It's always a big deal in most parts of southeast Texas because it rarely happens (like 8-20 year intervals). Since there's still snow on the ground this morning, we're crossing "drink hot chocolate" off our holiday bucket list

We made this simple 2 ingredient Candy Cane White Hot Chocolate with the help of Hershey's seasonal candy cane kisses, (this isn't a sponsored post, they're just my all time favorite holiday candy).

INGREDIENTS
  • 4-8 candy cane kisses
  • vanilla almond milk
DIRECTIONS
* this drink can be really hot. Use caution and allow it to cool before serving to children.
  • Melt 4 candy cane kisses in a microwave safe mug for 30 seconds.
  • Remove the mug from the microwave and fill it with vanilla almond milk (or regular milk with a few drops of vanilla extract).
  • Stir to prevent the chocolate from sticking to the bottom, then microwave for another minute.
  • Stir well to dissolve the rest of the chocolate pieces, add whipped cream and enjoy!
